Enable SEO Indexing on Your Wix Blog

For Blog Porter to access your Wix blog content, your blog must be visible to search engines. Follow these steps to enable SEO indexing in Wix.

Step 1: Access Your Wix Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Wix account at wix.com
  2. Select the site that contains your blog
  3. Click on "Dashboard" to access your site's management panel

Step 2: Navigate to SEO Settings

  1. In the left sidebar, click on "Settings"
  2. Scroll down and click on "SEO Settings" (or search for "SEO" in the settings search bar)

Step 3: Enable Search Engine Indexing

  1. Look for the section labeled "Let search engines index your site"
  2. Make sure the toggle is set to ON (enabled)
  3. Click "Show site" when it asks you to confirm.

Note: You can revert to the previous state when your export in Blog Porter is complete. This is just so that Blog Porter can access your blog posts for export.

Still getting an error?

  • Make sure you've published your Wix site after making the SEO changes
  • Wait some minutes for the changes to propagate
  • Check that your Wix site is not password-protected
