Make Your Wix Blog Accessible for Migration
Blog Porter can only analyse Wix posts that are publicly accessible. If your Wix site is hidden from search engines, enable indexing before you start the migration.
Enable site indexing in Wix
- Log in to Wix and open the dashboard for the site that contains your blog.
- Go to SEO & GEO → Tools and settings → SEO Settings.
- Under Let search engines index your site, turn indexing on.
- Publish your Wix site after saving the change.
Check the blog itself
Make sure the individual posts you want to migrate are published and do not require a password, membership, login, or paywall. Page-level settings can also prevent a post from being found even when site-wide indexing is enabled.
Keep the posts publicly accessible until Blog Porter has completed its analysis and migration preparation. You do not need to wait for Google to re-index the site before starting.
Still getting an error?
- Confirm you entered the public Wix site URL in Blog Porter.
- Check that the site and blog posts are published, not password-protected.
- Wait a few minutes after publishing the Wix change, then retry the analysis.
- If the issue continues, contact us with your Wix URL and the message shown by Blog Porter.
